Associate Director of Admissions - Amy Hung joined the admissions team in October 2010. In addition to serving on the Admissions Committee, she currently oversees the development of external opportunities and partnerships. During her time in Admissions, Hung has managed virtually all on-campus Admissions events, including the Daily Campus Visit Program, Booth Live events, and Admit Weekend. Prior to joining Booth, Hung taught at a public elementary school in Chicago. A local Chicagoan, Hung earned her bachelor's degree in secondary teaching from Northwestern University and a master's degree in public service management from DePaul University.
Chris is a second-year student at Booth. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame, and prior to attending Booth, Chris was an associate at KRG Capital Partners in Denver, Colorado where he focused on transactions in marketing services and transportation and logistics. Before KRG, Chris worked as an investment banking analyst at Robert W. Baird & Co. in Chicago. Currently, Chris is a co-chair of the PE Group as well as of Giving Something Back (student group). This past summer, Chris interned with Sterling Partners, a middle-market growth equity firm in Chicago. Upon graduation, Chris will be joining Pritzker Group as a vice president in their Private Capital Group.
Dominic is a second-year student at Booth. Prior to business school, Dominic worked on the financial services private equity team at Flexpoint Ford in Chicago and in the financial institutions group at Wells Fargo Securites in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, graduated from Harvard College, and spent this past summer working for Sterling Partners, a growth oriented private equity firm. Dominic will rejoin Flexpoint Ford as a vice president following graduation in June 2014. Currently, Dominic is an Admissions Fellow and a co-chair of the PE Group.
Assistant Director, Social Enterprise Initiative - Erica Phillips is the assistant director of the Social Enterprise Initiative at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is responsible for the events, programs, and education initiatives of the center. In addition, Phillips oversees the Board Service Conference and Alumni Board Connect, and she works with Chicago Booth student groups.
Senior Associate Director, Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Erika Mercer oversees private equity and venture capital programming at Chicago Booth, including the Private Equity and Venture Capital Lab, and the Sterling Partners Investment Thesis Challenge. In addition to advising students on career-related questions, she helps organize the annual student-run private equity and entrepreneurship/venture capital conferences.
Josh is a second-year student at Booth. Josh has studied and worked extensively with technology companies and start-ups. He will graduate with concentrations in entrepreneurship, operations management, and strategic management. Beyond his coursework, Josh serves as a Teacher's Assistant for Waverly Deutsch's Building the New Venture course, is the Campus Visit Co-Chair of the Dean's Student Admissions Committee (DSAC), co-chair of the Chicago Booth Strategy Games Club, and is an active member of the Booth Technology Group. Josh spent his summer interning at Groupon and is looking forward to working as a senior product manager at Amazon upon graduation.
Senior Associate Director, Career Management Services - Kirsten has been working as a career coach at Chicago Booth since 2005 with over ten years of professional experience in consulting and business development. She creates, develops, and delivers career programming to full-time students, as well as builds relationships and assists students with all aspects of the job search process. Prior to joining Chicago Booth, Kirsten worked in Career Services at DePaul University where she managed the Employer Relations team.
Tolu is a second-year student from Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to Booth, he worked in manufacturing at Corning Incorporated for about five years. Tolu spent this past summer working at the Chicago office of the Boston Consulting Group and will be returning to that same office upon graduation. In addition to his school year responsibilities, Tolu is working with doggyloot (a dog products startup) for the entirety of his second year.
Tricia is a second-year student from Los Angeles, where she founded a brand consulting company. Before that, she worked as an account executive for BLT & Associates, a creative design agency specializing in advertising and marketing for movies and television. She is currently working on two start-ups: Vintage, a consumer technology startup dedicated to capturing and archiving stories of senior citizens and D.Note, a social initiative focused on providing classroom supplies to children in underserved Chicago public schools. She dreams of Cleveland sports teams winning any sort of championship and hopes to visit each location in the book 1000 Places to See Before You Die.
Vladimir is a second-year student at Booth. Vladimir grew up in Bonn, Germany and Sofia, Bulgaria. After graduating from Williams College, he worked in the financial institutions investment banking group at JPMorgan in New York and London for three years and then joined a multi-strategy investment firm in Palo Alto, California. Vladimir later became a member of the founding team of CHSO Partners, a growth oriented private equity firm focused on the healthcare sector, where he currently works part-time (while a student at Booth) and will be returning to post-graduation. Currently, Vladimir is an Admissions Fellow and an Engagement Manager for the Business Solutions Group.
