Associate Director of Admissions - Amy Hung joined the admissions team in October 2010. In addition to serving on the Admissions Committee, she currently oversees the development of external opportunities and partnerships. During her time in Admissions, Hung has managed virtually all on-campus Admissions events, including the Daily Campus Visit Program, Booth Live events, and Admit Weekend. Prior to joining Booth, Hung taught at a public elementary school in Chicago. A local Chicagoan, Hung earned her bachelor's degree in secondary teaching from Northwestern University and a master's degree in public service management from DePaul University.
Associate Director of Admissions - Carrie joined the Chicago Booth admissions team in August 2008. She is responsible for evaluation strategy, application development and operations, as well as developing LGBT recruitment initiatives. Prior to joining the Admissions Office, Carrie?s served as the development director for Girls in the Game, where she led the organization's resource development and strategic planning. Carrie received her bachelor's degree from Ball State University and is currently pursuing a master?s degree in learning and organizational change from Northwestern University.
Fern O'Neill is an associate director of Career Services for full-time students and has been working at Chicago Booth since 2007. She is responsible for developing and delivering career management programming, as well as coaching students on all aspects of their job search. Prior to joining Chicago Booth, Fern gained experience across a wide range of consumer package goods marketing roles in both Chicago and New York. Additionally, she worked in a marketing training role where she trained and coached marketers to build their marketing and leadership skills. She received her undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Illinois and her MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Giulia is a second-year student at Booth, pursuing concentrations in marketing management and entrepreneurship. Prior to Booth, Giulia worked as a product marketing manager at Vodafone, where she designed the customer experience for new services and apps. This past summer, she worked with the marketing team at YouTube and will be going back to Google after graduation. In her spare time, Giulia likes to organize dinners for her friends, bike around the city, and travel around the world.
Associate Director, Kilts Center for Marketing - Katie Claussen Bell is associate director of the James M. Kilts Center for Marketing. Bell began working for the University of Chicago in 2005, first at the Harris School of Public Policy - Cultural Policy Center and then at Chapin Hall, a policy research center that focuses on children, families, and their communities. Bell graduated from Saint Mary?s College (in Notre Dame, Indiana) in 2001 and launched her professional career at CNA, where she worked in corporate marketing and communications roles. She then earned a master of arts in sociology from Loyola University Chicago in 2006.
Marina is a second-year student from Chicago. Before coming to Booth, Marina worked as a management consultant in Central and South America. She is currently pursuing concentrations in marketing management and econometrics and statistics. This past summer, Marina interned with MillerCoors (where she enjoyed occasional visits to the company pub). Upon graduation, she looks forward to joining Kraft as an associate brand manager. In her spare time, Marina enjoys taking cooking classes with her husband and friends.
Prior to Booth, Miriam spent five years at Towers Watson working in pension consulting as an actuarial analyst. This past summer, she interned in brand management at Hillshire Brands in Chicago. After graduation, she will be returning to Hillshire Brands as an assistant brand manager. At Booth, Miriam is an Admissions Fellow, co-chair of the Marketing Group, and member of Chicago Women in Business (CWiB) as well as the Wine Club.
Prior to Booth, Rushan spent five years working in consulting at Accenture, with a focus on customer relationship management (CRM). He plans to make a transition to the luxury retail industry. This past spring, Rushan interned at a Chicago-based fashion start-up, ZipFit Denim and this summer, worked in merchandising and planning for Coach in New York City.
